The Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) is a measure of impedance mismatch between the transmission line and its load. The higher the VSWR the greater the mismatch. The ST900-R1’s minimum VSWR i.e. that which corresponds to a perfect impedance match is unity.

The ST900-R1 is linear-polarized that focuses the radio energy from the reader in a narrow beam. This increases the read distance possible and provides greater penetration through dense materials.
